 Sudan: Attacks amid ceasefire, people fleeing the country 

 There has been a 72-hour ceasefire in Sudan following the intervention of the US and Saudi Arabia. However, even after this, fresh clashes have started in the capital Khatoum and other areas of the country. This is the fourth attempt at a ceasefire during the 12-day fighting in the country. Smoke could be seen rising around Rashtrapati Bhavan in Khatam after fresh violence and attacks. Residents there said a fight broke out between army personnel and the paramilitary Rapid Support Force (RSF) on Tuesday morning. According to eyewitnesses, there was also violence in the nearby town of Omdurman and the capital of West Darfur state, Jinina. Significantly, these clashes took place after Sudanese army leader Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and RSF chief Mohammed Hamdan supported the ceasefire. 427 people have been killed in the attacks in 12 days. More than 3,700 have been injured.
