40% of the total vehicles sold in the country last year were three wheeler EVs, estimated to be 95% by the end of the decade of the total vehicles sold in the country, 70% are two-wheelers. If three wheelers and autos are added then this number will become eight out of ten i.e. 80%. But India is now rapidly moving towards Electric Vehicles (EV). Of the total EVs registered in the country, 92% are two-wheelers and three-wheelers. That is, the number of electric cars is very less.

 According to market research organization Counterpoint, a total of 1.6 million units will be sold in India in 2022.
